In June 2024, after multiple rounds of assessment, CENGINCRANES was honored to be selected as the supplier for 2-type and 4-set of smart cranes tailor-made for the construction of Dammam Stadium based on the technical and quality evaluations. 

These four cranes will each play important and fundamental roles in this project.

Two sets of CTL160 TRAVEL LIFT / STRADDLE CARRIER will be responsible for transporting precast RAKER BEAM with a maximum weight of 128 tons from outside the stadium to inside the stadium, which is full of challenges and requires sufficient intelligence on the way back and forth, especially when passing the narrow passage of the sports stadium.

Two sets of CGCD100 GANTRY CRANE will be responsible for various processes such as precasting, demolding, tilting, and stacking of various specifications of precast RAKER BEAM in the precast yard; Among them, demolding and tilting also pose technical challenges, and protecting the long yet flat shape prefcast RAKER BEAM from damage is crucial.

The stadium is invested and constructed by Saudi Aramco, located in the Dammam region of eastern Saudi Arabia. It has a total of 45985 seats and is designed with 16 overlapping spiral petals.

After completion, the project will become a landmark sports stadium in the local area, used for hosting important events such as the Saudi Professional League, the 2027 Asian Cup (AFC), and FIFA matches.
